so much.

it's almost too perfect a movie. from top to bottom i loved everything about it. the look, the music, the flashbacks, the characters, their personalities, their eccentricities, their charm, their clothes, their homes, their expressions, their voices, their love.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011)

so, Harry is done. but i'm not sad. i'm fulfilled like after a good steak. i craved it. i enjoyed it. i devoured it. and now i'm done. my belly is full and i'm satisfied. i don't think i'll be going through withdrawal, but if i ever get another craving, i'll just pop in the movies (or even better, finally read the books) and i'll be fine.

ok, i liked it. but many won't. in fact, i'm certain that a lot of people will f-cking hate it and would prefer to spend the night cheese grating their genitals or having people fart in their mouths rather than watch this film. but others will think it's the most brilliant sophisticated thing since mini-gherkins on toothpicks.

ok, i really liked the first half of this movie... and if the second part of the film had kept me as interested as the first, i would have rated this movie higher. the kids are awesome, and i loved watching them put together that zombie movie. HOLY SH-T was that a good movie! the kids are cool, and sweet, and low key. they didn't annoy me or make me want to punch myself in the face or cut out my ovaries.

for a couple of years i was a teacher. i first taught english and drama in a high school (read: juvenile detention centre), then, after a near nervous breakdown, i quit and began to work 12 hour days for a film production company where i earned next to no money. and not once did i miss my secure teaching job with its full benefits, good salary, pension plan, holidays, summers off - that's how much i loved being a teacher.

a couple of weeks ago my lovely friend Alison brought me to dinner. we went to an AMAZING restaurant she knows and loves called Bistro Seven Seven in Alliston, Ontario. OMG. so. good.

Cravings...

i get major cravings.

for a lot of things. like, for Sneaky Dee's wings (mild), for All Dressed Ruffles chips, peanut butter (Kraft, low fat), pickles (dill, no garlic), fennel, sushi, and for really good coffee (Crema in Toronto makes a great espresso, and their lattes are f-cking turn-ons - i want to pour them in my pants). but last night i was having a serious craving for Jeff Goldblum.

Woody makes me feel so good. and this movie made me feel f-cking great. some of my friends don't understand how i can have such an insatiable crush on Woody Allen. really? because i think the brain, his MIND, is a total, absolute f-cking turn-on. i find Woody Allen irresistible in the same way i have a crush on director Micheal Moore. (do you get it?) f-ck. what i would give to be Woody's Soon-Yi. sigh...

last night the Vancouver Canucks won game one. NICE. i'm a Leafs' girl, but since the Leafs are the sh-ts and didn't make it anywhere, GO CANUCKS! anyway, my friend Luca came over to watch the game on the big screen (i.e., movie theatre), and after the game, we wanted to watch a movie.

i wandered into it the other day completely indifferent - i couldn't remember the trailer or even seeing it advertised on the telly. but i was enjoying a mid-week afternoon out to myself, and after a morning of book browsing, lunch, and coffee, i decided to take a lookie at what was playing at my favourite cinema around the corner. Source Code was starting in 10 minutes, and so in i popped.
